Diablo II: Resurrected – Reign of the Warlock · unofficial mod
Play the patches you've been asking for.
Dreadnought is a private test mode where the fixes and balance changes players want are applied for real — then tested together, in your own rooms, before anyone argues about them in theory.

One launcher, and Diablo II goes multiplayer in LAN mode.
Keep the Diablo II: Resurrected you already have installed from Battle.net and just get the launcher from this site. It installs the offline mod you need automatically and starts the game in LAN mode.
To make LAN play painless we run our own relay server: host a room yourself or join someone else's in one click. No port forwarding, no VPN.
We never sign in with your Battle.net account or touch the live servers. Diablo II only needs a Battle.net sign-in when it starts, to verify your licensed copy.

- 01
Install the launcher
Download it from the Download page and install.
- 02
Automatic updates
Every time it starts, the launcher fetches the latest mod and content.
- 03
Host or join
Open your own room, or pick someone else's from the list.
- 04
Play as usual
Everyone plays the same game mode, with the patch notes the players themselves helped write.
Saves are managed by the relay — no editing, no cheats
Character and stash saves are stored and verified by the relay. A save changed outside the game is rejected and rolled back to the server's clean copy, and a save that breaks the rules cannot host or join a room.
Offline single-player, fair for everyone
Everyone meets with characters checked against the same rules, so the offline game you used to play alone becomes a fair game for many.
Why Dreadnought exists
The Diablo II team is busy. We're not.
The Diablo II development team must have their hands full. Bugs left behind for years, and the requests players have repeated for just as long, are still waiting — everyone knows them, nobody gets to them.
So we decided to go first. We apply one small fix at a time, play it together to prove it works, and write the result up as a clear proposal.
A patch that has actually been played is far more convincing than another forum wish. Maybe, one day, the team will come back and look after the heroes they left behind.
- 01
Tested, not theorized
Every change is played in real rooms before it is proposed.
- 02
Fix, don't redesign
Small, focused patches for long-neglected problems — the game stays itself.
- 03
All on the record
Votes, discussion, the final patch plan and its version are public.
From request to real test
- 01
Propose
Open one Proposal for the change you want — a long-neglected fix or a small rebalance. Every proposal goes to a vote.
- 02
Patch
Picked proposals are built into the Dreadnought test mod and announced in Notice.
- 03
Test together
Host or join a room from the launcher. The relay connects everyone — no port forwarding.
- 04
Feedback
Report what worked and what broke. Good changes stay, bad ones are rolled back.
Why Dreadnought
Community-picked patches
The patch list comes from player requests, not from a roadmap.
Private rooms, zero setup
Rooms go through our relay, so hosting works behind any router.
Separate saves
The test mod keeps its own save folder. Your regular characters are never touched.
Tiny launcher
A small installer with no background updater. When a new build ships, Notice tells you.
